Agora Ties Bank Wires to Direct AUSD Creation

By Scarlett · Chief of Staff · 19 Oct 2026

Agora said on Oct. 13, 2026 that dollar mints of its AUSD stablecoin are now automatic when a customer wires dollars to a route. The process requires one route setup and uses a unique memo for matching.

stablecoin stacks calm blue

What changes when a stablecoin platform removes the manual handoff between a bank wire and token delivery? Agora said on Oct. 13, 2026 that dollar mints of its AUSD stablecoin are now automatic when a customer wires dollars to a route. NFA.

How the route works

A customer sets up a route once inside the Agora Platform or through its API. The route records the token, the chosen chain and the destination wallet address. Each route receives a unique memo that must appear in the wire reference field. The memo includes a check character so a garbled reference fails instead of matching the wrong route.

What arrives after the wire

When the dollars land, Agora matches the incoming wire to the saved route. It performs its checks and mints AUSD one-for-one into the listed wallet. The wire must originate from a bank account already on file with Agora and must be sent in the organization’s own name. Wires that do not match any route are held for manual review, and the system prevents any single wire from triggering two payouts.

Coverage for whitelabel tokens

The same automation now applies to whitelabel tokens issued through Agora. Customers follow the identical route setup and memo process, then receive the branded token directly after the wire clears.

Supported chains

AUSD operates on mainnet deployments listed in Agora developer documentation. Those chains are Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum and Base. The route setup records which of these chains the customer selects for each mint.

Next steps outlined by Agora

Agora stated it plans to extend the same automation to dollar redemptions. It also plans to add a wire status view inside the Platform so users can track pending wires without separate support tickets.

What a holder actually receives

A holder who follows the route process gets AUSD delivered to the chosen wallet once the wire matches. No additional approval step is required after the route is created. The one-for-one mint preserves the exact dollar amount sent, and the memo system reduces the chance of misdirected funds. Whitelabel users receive the same direct outcome for their branded tokens. The process stays limited to routes that reference an account already on file, which keeps control with the customer who set the route.

Practical outcome for users

The change removes repeated manual coordination between bank transfers and mint requests. A single route creation covers repeated wires to the same wallet on the same chain. Customers who need multiple destinations or tokens simply create additional routes. Wires that arrive damaged or mismatched stay in review until resolved, protecting against duplicate or incorrect mints. The system design favors safety over speed when data does not align.

Summary of the product change

Agora turned an earlier manual mint workflow into an automated match-and-mint flow that activates on verified wire arrival. The holder experience centers on creating the route, using the memo once, and receiving the token one-for-one. Planned additions for redemptions and status tracking remain in development. All current steps follow the details published by Agora on Oct. 13, 2026.
