On Oct. 26, 2026, a privacy-first chain began running an invite-only partner mainnet for launch partners and invited users. Partners and invited users can now move real assets on it.

How it works

Each transaction runs directly on the user’s device, which produces a zero-knowledge proof. The network checks the proof before updating the ledger. For private accounts the chain records only cryptographic commitments rather than the full private state. The proofs rely on STARKs that use hash functions alone, and most can be generated on a phone in less than three seconds.

Guardians operated by four separate entities at launch provide backup and synchronization of private account state. This setup lets a user restore an account on a new device. The wallet combines an everyday key, a recovery key, and a Guardian key so that control never depends on a single element. A private multisig feature further conceals balances, signers, and signing rules. Teams can set requirements for additional signers on larger transfers.

Asset callbacks allow issuers to attach code that runs when an asset moves, enabling measures such as freezes or transfer limits while keeping holder accounts unpublished. Validators retain encrypted transaction data during this phase, preventing any single validator from decrypting it.

Swaps remain public for now. Private-to-private transfers keep the most information hidden. The partner mainnet is temporary; participants are expected to withdraw funds before the network resets ahead of public mainnet. The public phase will shift to a Blake3-based hash and introduce full zero-knowledge block proofs.

Teams working on the network include those developing a business banking application, a payments service, an exchange, and a name service. One security firm reviewed the virtual machine component and another examined the transaction kernel.

Early-access codes go out in waves from Oct. 26. Anyone holding a code counts as a partner.

Users can hold, send and receive supported assets. They can also move assets to other networks and swap where pairs exist.

Guardians back up and synchronize private account state. Users can recover an account on another device.

Four operators run Guardians at launch. That role is separate from guarding private keys.

A protocol-level exchange sits inside Bread.

Swaps are public in this phase. Private-to-private transfers reveal the least.

Background

Work on the underlying virtual machine for proofs dates to 2020. The project became an independent company in 2025. Public ledgers can reveal sender balances and transaction histories through payment records. This limited phase places private accounts into operation with actual assets under controlled conditions.

Privacy upgrades like this are a regular topic for the Doginal Dogs community and on CSN, the Crypto Spaces Network.
